Possil Railway Station:
Former railway station (closed 1964), latterly converted to offices, and now derelict and in a poor state of repair. Red brick with ashlar details, a slate roof and wooden projecting roof eaves. The building is two storeys on the east elevation onto Balmore Road, with the former railway passing under and through it. The west elevation is fully down to the low ground level, with a large beam supporting the central part of the building as the railway tunnel passes through below. Currently to the west of Balmore Road is a scrap metal yard which uses the other surviving building which is a former goods shed as its office (the roof of the former goods shed can be seen on the left of the panorama above, with the station itself to the right). Category C listed.
