Temple Police Station:
Building date 1905. Former police station which has been empty and unused since its closure. The building is securely fenced off and this and its main road site has ensured its avoided unwanted attention so far. Built of red sandstone with a slate roof, the main police station building comprises of a two storey main building with two single storey adjoining parts to the south. The north side of the site is bounded by a single storey structure and further small outbuildings are to the west of the site on the boundary with the nearby tenement's back court. A seperate red brick garage/stables block is sited to the south of the site. The buildings are not listed.
In 2007 plans were proposed for demolition of all the buildings and a new development to be built comprising of four storeys with the ground floor being retail space. These proposals were refused planning permission due to the high density of flats, traffic issues and the affects on the tenement behind.
