Doocots: From east to west, numbers 16-18:
The Doocots are documented across these pages from east to west in the order they appear across the map of the city. Here are doocots 16 through to 18.


Doocot Number 16:
Halfway between Scotstoun and Yoker sited on the south side of the cycle path rises this green doocot.

west elevation, green in colour with an enlarged upper portion, this doocot uses a variety of materials, a pigeon can be seen behind the wire at the shelf at the top of the doocot (09/06/11)

Doocot Number 17:
Nestled on the north side of the cycle path, some 20 metres form the last doocot is sited this small secondary structure. Bright green and made of the typical timber, corrugated sheeting and a combination of asphalt and metal roofing.

Doocot Number 18:
Sited off the cycle path at Yoker this doocot is fenced off by a fence made of painted pallet crates erected on their sides and affixed to timber fence posts. The main doocot tower painted green with black edgings has a single storey extension, and two smaller structures sit to the east, making up the biggest doocot mini-empire yet found.
